Moon Knight
- 01.01 ↺ — stumbled upon Man in the Mirror by RIProducer and realized how much i wanted to rewatch moon knight. i havent watched any of it since it first came out (almost 4 years ago...terrifying) so its very fun experiencing so much of it again!! first thoughts: i adore steven sm and god this show is gorgeous. im trying to limit myself to one episode a day, so i should be logging the next ep tomorrow :P
- 01.02 ↺ — layla el-faouly, THE character of all time
steven's moon knight suit literally being a three piece suit 'cause he had no context for what layla was talking about and just imagined an actual suit — so fucking funny. i adore layla, i love how she doesnt know whats going on with steven/marc but still wants to help them. the scene in the attic(?) where shes trying to get steven to equip the suit means sm to me. also steven being so clearly autistic is sooooo important to me!!!!
- 01.03 ↺ — i think i officially have moon knight brain worms. i told myself id only watch one ep a day, so ive been listening to man in the mirror on repeat to cope. and godddd i still adore layla sm
its fun having an ep focused on marc instead of steven! like i said before, i havent watched the show in like 3 years so i dont remember everything, but i DID (no pun intended) remember that there was a third alter. tho i cant remember anything abt them except that they tend to be more violent than marc and steven. its also very fun (if unintentional) that we first get hints about a third alter in the third episode of the show. btw i need to grind harrow into a fine dust
- 01.04 ↺ — GOD this show has such good characters
I FORGOT ABT THE ASYLUM !! the intro to it is so heartbreaking wtff. i got so emotional when marc and steven hugged cause omfg. i also totally forgot that marc was involved with the murder of layla's dad???? ethan hawke is so good at making me hate him btw. im so fucking excited for the next episode holy shit
- 01.05 ↺ — one ep left!
godddd i forgot how heavy this ep is, fully had to look away from the screen for a few parts. and goddd is oscar issac such a good actor. kinda cliche to say but i almost forgot marc and steven are played by the same guy lmao. anyways: amazing episode, im so sad now, hopefully next ep will heal me! also very excited to see layla again !!!!!!!
- 01.06 ↺ — god this show is just so good — i need them to make a second season already. im probably gonna rewatch it all again lmao.
THE FUCKING CHARACTERSSS!!!!!! this show lives and dies by its characters and it fucking thrives. AND OMGG JAKE...he is such a good fucking cliffhanger, its criminal theres no second season (yet, hopefully) where they can resolve that!! i adore layla (as ive said a million times at this point lmao) and i loveeee her as scarlet scarab! i remembered she got to be scarlet scarab, but i totally forgot she became tawaret's (temporary?) avatar!! i also love tawaret so so much, and i love how shes foreshadowed in the first episode. actually back to jake: i wonder, if they DO end up making another season, will he have a suit? and what would it even look like?? i feel like it could be something similar to steven's mr. knight suit, but you wouldnt want to make them too similar and then have marc's suit seem out of place. i wonder if production already thought of what it could look like...actually i also wonder if any fans have made their own designs for it? honestly, maybe jake wouldnt even have a suit! it could be pretty cool if he was just in plain clothes the whole time. anyways i love this show, and i need to look at 10 million pieces of fanart on tumblr

Assembled: The Making of Moon Knight
- very fun to learn so much behind the scenes! also i love how much everyone on the show just adores steven lmao. i felt a little irked by them calling DID a superpower so many times, but honestly i got the sentiment, and im not gonna get offended on behalf of other ppl. they showed so many panels of jeff lemire and greg smallwood's run of the comics that i neeeeed to try reading it. my local library doesnt have any copies of it (rude,) so honestly i might just buy myself the first volume lmao.

Movies
Don't Log Off (2025)
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025)
- Very good!! I think Glass Onion is still my favourite, but that doesn't change the fact that this was amazing. The lighting and framing were both very very nice, and the settings and costumes were pretty good! Very fun to see a bunch of actors I recognize in roles I'm not used to seeing them in — it was so weird to see Andrew Scott playing an American, but honestly, I got used to it pretty quickly. Daniel Craig was a highlight as always — I loved seeing a different side to Benoit Blanc that we hadn't seen in the first 2 movies. As someone who wasn't raised in any religion — I've had religion surrounding me for most of my life, but only in very surface-level ways — I'm probably missing out on a different side to this movie that people who are more knowledgeable of Catholicism are seeing. Though, I have heard from some people online that the Catholicism this movie portrays is an almost bastardisation of "true" Catholicism — but as I said, I'm not an expert when it comes to religiom, so I won't really get into it. I do have some small nitpicks — that are in the spoiler section below — but all in all, a very good movie!
OKAY! So, while I did enjoy this movie, I do have some nitpicks that I just have to say — it would feel dishonest not to. Firstly being that I felt like every character other than Benoit, Jud, Martha, and Wick fell a bit flat for me. I found them all very entertaining, and they were all played beautifully, but I don't think they were quite the "star ensemble" that the last 2 movies had. Speaking of characters, I hated Geraldine. I feel a bit bad for it, but I really do. I don't like her actresss, Mila Kunas, which probably bled into her character. I have a few more nitpicks I can't quite put into words, but I honestly think I'll they'll smooth out over time.
